Austin braces and a close call

This my friends is what remains of the cushion that almost burned our house down. We had gone to see a movie and one of the kids had been tossing the pillows around and it ended up landing against our gas fireplace. When we came home the house was entirely filled with smoke and I took the kids away from the house and Justin ran thru it trying to see what was on fire. He found the cushion smouldering... if we had been gone a minute or two longer it would have reached the carpet and that would have been the beginning of the end of our house. We were so blessed that night! Now our house just smells like burnt marshmallows :o)

Here's a mug shot of Austin with his new braces. I'll take a more flattering one later... but he's really happy to be doing something about his teeth.

Halloween

The front of Austin's pumpkin

Cody's pumpkin

Megs pumpkin

Justin's cameo shot.... my favorite part was the sequence (sp?) on the devil horns ,... and the feathery boa trim..... oh yeah, and the teeth just complete the look. :o)

Justin and Megs for Halloween... don't ask me how I got him to dress up.... but he really worked it. We went with this other dad in the neighborhood and his kids... and he kept saying... "The devil made me do it" ... the funniest part was when the two of them (one devil, one John Travolta, both with Billy Bob teeth) started looking up at the sky and one said he saw a shooting star, the other didn't see one.... so they're examining the sky and conversating with their teeth that definitely lowers their IQ. It was pretty funny.

Austin called him the evil red bunny.

Here's the kids at the Halloween carnival for school. Austin let Cody wear his fighter pilot costume (since our Like Skywalker costume is in the neverending abyss called the storage room), so Austin was a soccer player and Megan was Cinderella. Along with them are our good friends and neighbors Aubrey and Parker... whom Megan thinks is the greatest thing since sliced bread

San Diego Baby!!!

We celebrated Justin's bday while we were there .... and he didn't seem to fully appreciate the full body pjs (with feet and dropseat :o) that I bought him. I told him when he's camping in the mountains and needs to use the john at night.... he will thank me. And ladies and gentlemen, this is the only photo of him wearing them... so count yourself lucky to be one of the few to see it.
Justin was so proud that he could beat the other kids and adults in a race to pump the firetruck and spray the fire the fastest. (Nevermind the fact that he was twice as big and strong--HE WON!!!)

Not only did the kids have a great time, but even Justin had fun (and that's saying something)!

The whole Lamb family on the beach. No bathing suits on this trip,... too chilly. But not as cold as Rexburg. We found out the weekend we left Rexburg they had a blizzard. Great timing!!!

Yellowstone!

We had a blast with Grandma and Grandad and the Wilhelms. Here's a photo journal of our most excellent adventure.....

Sweet lodge at Old Faithful

I was fascinated by this long, straight road :o) All the rest were curvy.
Thar she blows!
Cody finally got to see old faithful,...."the most famous geiser in the world"

I have no idea who took this picture
Lamb family photo
Spooky aparition in the rocks of Mammoth Hot Springs
Little black bear in the tree... sorry, I forgot to flip this one
A cave of dragons

The kids loved these painted buffalo, they were all over West Yellowstone... so we decided to take a picture... it was freezing cold!

Big Springs where the giant rainbow trout were

Only one thing would get Grandad AND Justin to lay on their bellies and look under the bridge..... giant rainbow trout :o)
The cutest little muskrat building his nest
Big Springs..... just a few little bubbling springs that is the beginning of the Snake River
Mesa Falls... freakin awesome and loud.

Ryker is such a doll

Austin, Cody and Colton at Mesa Falls

I had to run in front of everyone to get this shot... I looked like a ding dong, but it's a cute picture of Grandma and Grandad and the kids

Justin in his flipflops :o) (oh yeah, and the kids going fishin :o)

Cody... doing what Cody does..... looking for bugs

Madison..... fixin to fish

Lisa,.... documenting it all so Matt doesn't feel left out at home (such a good wife)

Elk, pretty proud of this picture since I was standing really far away and just used my zoom lens.
